Eric Anfrui is a renowned expert and one of the leading representatives of Kokodo Jujutsu in France. As a Kyoshi 7th Dan, he travels to Japan up to twice a year to study directly with the school’s founder, Irie Yasuhiro Soke, and regularly takes his students there. With 21 trips to his credit, Eric is one of only two Europeans, and one of three in the world, to have made as many trips to Japan and trained under Soke’s tutelage.
Throughout his career, Eric has followed intensive training and studied various martial arts, but he is particularly recognized for his expertise in Kokodo Jujutsu. He plays a key role in spreading this discipline in France and Europe, often being invited to give seminars and courses.
As a teacher, Eric emphasizes technical precision, discipline and the practical application of jujutsu techniques. He promotes an ethical approach to martial arts, emphasizing the importance of the balance between efficiency and respect for the physical integrity of the opponent.
Recognized by his peers, he has presented Kokodo Jujutsu at prestigious events such as the Night of Traditional Martial Arts and the Aïki Taikai. The Himeikai association that he directs, directly affiliated (Jikimon) to the main dojo in Japan since 2012, contributes to the transmission and development of this martial art in Europe. Éric also travels regularly to follow Soke during seminars in Europe, Canada and Japan, while organizing seminars for his students.
